Building a website

Here we are, building our website to bring our workshops to the world!

We have chosen to use Squarespace as our host. As programmers, using a site like Squarespace almost feels like sacrilege. We should be hosting our own! We should build a web-site using Angular and Typescript, put these on a node server and an nginx proxy and deploy this in a docker container on an AWS cluster.

But no.

Because what is it that we are trying to accomplish here? We want to bring our workshops to the people, not start yet another project. We need to focus on what is really important instead of trying to do everything ourselvers (which is a habit common amongst developers).

So here we are. Creating a site on Squarespace and only concerning ourselves with the actual content that needs to be published. Not even HTML. Just text, pictures and functionality. Such an odd feeling.
